Because this game is programmed in Blueprints, it's difficult for me to isolate. Player 1 and Player 2 may either be you or enemy. You would have to look to see which one has the health value matching you to see which is which.
Yes, the values REVERT back to max health (for instance). The game has code to do this. THe option is merely to reset health to a high value during battles and whatnot. It may also be that some values are tied to your level or other factors when NOT in battle.
So pressing health and AP options is a one time thing.
I am re-looking at new ways to isolate, but just be aware that telling me "doesn't work" and I have no save from you is next to useless.

yeah you can reproduce this behavior at any point in the game. and i have played from the beginning to the point where you reach the paintress and the crashing and bugging out is happening all the way through.
it has also happened on a fresh start.
additionally the value modifications don't work while in a battle and the combat player 1 and combat player 2 functions are often all 0 values during a battle so its impossible to use this to determine if the player or AI is combat player 1 and that makes that part of the trainer functionally useless.
I am running the steam version of the game.

I just told you that I CANNOT REPRODUCE THIS in my playthrough on MY SAVE where I AM in the AREAS I AM TESTING. Therefore a post like this was not informative and helps in no way
