I'm really hoping an updated trainer can be made for this game.
As always, thanks for all the hardwork and dedication Cal and team!There was never a trainer for this game or any of the games in this series. the developers are super over the top with anticheats (changing values closes game, etc.) and they have made almost all their updates about removing the console or "stopping cheating".
So dumb.
Our "trainer" was merely unlocking the console so you could use it. They ripped out the console commands completely.

whateverAlas! This series has been great (though the earliest were the better/more fun entries, IMO), and I just don't get why any devs would be so adamantly anti-cheat for single player games.
Other than a serious case of The Vision(tm), that is. And any studio that prioritises The Vision over players should get ****ty sales and reviews anyway.
Sure, multiplayer it's not fair for some players to be using cheats and others not, but being this pig-headed about it for single players really is denying themselves a whole lot of sales.
Eh, HWII was by far the worst of the series, and based on what I'm reading about HoH2, (and my limited hours in this version), HoH2 is at least as crap as HW2.
Pity, they had something really fun and different, but if they're determined to drive their own market-segment away, about all the market can do is not buy their stuff.

Apparently people were cheesin it in MP enough that people complained.
Since they have workshop, you honestly could make a mod for it to enable it for SP 😅 -

Why not just keep the anti cheats in the MP part? No micro transactions and no honey in SP part so why anti cheats? They should be focusing and spending time on improving their game rather than anti cheats in the SP part, so stupid, these kind over devs don’t deserve any support.

Step by step to make the trainer work with the actual save from the latest version
By using the download depot using steam console its pretty easy to make the trainer functionnal
Open the "res" folder donwloaded with steam console ( depot_619821 ) and copy is inside the res folder to what is inside the res folder of the up to date steam game heroes of hammerwatch II
then copy paste the depot_619822 into the steam game folder containing the exe
you can now lunch the game with your current save and modify what you want using the trainer and console cheat
To run again the latest version of the game simply verify files and you good to go
