Then I suggest you clean install your GPU drivers because the error message you posted indicates an error with DirectX which has little to do with the trainer.

Uninstal FLawless widescreen, C++ redistirbutable (reboot) still crash
DDU driver (reboot) NVIDIA reinstall (reboot) still crash
Uninstall game (verify no folder left installed) reboot reinstall still crash
Weird thing trainier appears fully operational on laptop with overlay on
Appreciate your input or other things to try -

Appreciate your input or other things to tryWell if it works on laptop, but not elsewhere it sounds more like those other devices have something blocking it.
