unable to launch the game with aurora op on Age of Empires IV PC Message Board - Page 1

Hello

Since today when I try to launch AoE with aurora I have this error message:
Prohibited: Aurora.exe
8a7b9bf01a...... alphanumeric suite that changes with each launch
Application terminated

I can launch AoE if aurora is not running, if i launch aurora once I am in AoE I have the error message.

Where does this message pop up?
Because it seems to me like a anti-virus message.
I suggest you make sure Aurora is on a disk. Not in downloads, desktop or documents.
Make sure you exclude Aurora folder from any and all scans in your anti-virus.

Where does this message pop up? in a white window in the center of my screen
Make sure you exclude Aurora folder from any and all scans in your anti-virus. Already did, even tried with anti-virus off and no change

I also crash when I open CoSMOS

Maybe they updated the game and added in an anti-cheat to detect Aurora and CoSMOS?

Maybe, yestrday I was disconnected from servor multiple time

Having the same issue. Same prohibited message but the game did update to a new version 12.0.1974.0

Yes, we have confirmed and will be looking into it. No idea at this point if we will be able to bypass it or not and why add it to the game 3 years after it launched? Stupid...
