I followed all the steps on the latest updated guide and no luck for me. I usually don't post here because I've been using this mod since it was first introduced and every time I get an error I just follow the guide and it has always solved the problem until today. Upon opening the cheat launcher, the client crashes with an error right after the three beeps before I launch Aurora. Although, I have not given up.
Step 1 Delete the Bin folder in the Helldivers 2 folder
Step 2 Reverify the game files in steam
Step 3 Move the Launcher file to the Bin folder in the Helldivers 2 folder
Step 4 Open the game from steam
Step 5 Move around a bit on the ship
Step 6 Open the launcher file that is in the Bin folder
Step 6a check the task manager for GameGuard
Step 6b If GameGuard is open close it, if its not there go to step 7
Step 7 Open Aurora
Step 8 Open the Helldivers 2 trainer
Step 9 Activate the trainer
Step 10 Activate options you want to use
Step 11 Have fun

Also on step 6a and 6b. If you notice gameguard is still running, try the launcher again before you try aurora. I heard mention of having to run it 3 times before gameguard shuts down.
A new launcher and reboot after a failed start may also be adviced.

All the exclusions were previously added. I tried manually ending the anti cheat in task manager after running the HD2 launcher but it wouldn't close the app. Re-opening the HD2 launcher only crashed the client again. I'm sure if I just tried and re-tried all the steps multiple times I could eventually get it to work but at this point it's just not worth it anymore. Thanks for replying.

Finally got it working :P I guess it's best practice to always re-validate game files AND re-boot the PC between errors every time it crashes. Takes forever but it worked.
