There are a lot of issues with this out of nowhere. It was working perfectly, but after an update, either from Steam or to the app, I get an error code on every single game. I can close it, but most games it won’t work with. Have a nice death being the most recent. Cassette Beasts doesn’t run at all, Cult of the Lamb is the only game I can get to work, if I can get past the error code screen. Also, some games that you have to download the trainer for, now say that I have been banned, while other work just fine. I’ve attached the error message I get on every game, this one is Balatro. I’ve uninstalled and deleted the folder like it says, but the error is still there. Has anyone else experienced? Everything was working fine last week.

standalone trainers aren't supported on the steamdeck

That’s odd because Dragon Quest Heroes standalone trainer works great. No issues. But that just a couple of games I use it for. The majority are with the SD tool.

In Aurora settings do you have "scan installed games" enabled? And/or do you have a folder set for standalone trainers in Aurora?

I am trying to get SDT working with Steam on Debian, so I understand I am going off the expected path but I hope to provide enough information that perhaps issue and solution can be found without significant effort.

Installer works and places files in

* /home/AA/userid/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/AuroraLauncher/AuroraLauncher
* ~/Downloads/Aurora

However when launcher starts from "/home/AA/userid/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/AuroraLauncher/AuroraLauncher" it still thinks it is not installed.

I am guessing it is because my user home path has 3 sub-folders rather than typical 2 as I noticed that launcher tries to find "SDT_Installed.txt" where it cannot exist.

lstat("/home/AA/userid/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/AuroraLauncher/AuroraLauncher/SDT_Installed.txt", 0x7ffe42487aa0) = -1 ENOTDIR (Not a directory)

AuroraLauncher/AuroraLauncher are these both folders? It should just be AuroraLauncher (one folder named like that, not two)

AuroraLauncher binary is inside /home/AA/userid/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/AuroraLauncher/ folder
