Which proton versions? Use protonup-qt to download older versions.
Also try different games. Most of Trails of Series don't play well with Aurora because theyre 32 bit. So try a different game and see if you can get it to load.

Yeah, that's what I've discovered. It's working with other games. How do I get Aurora to work when I'm offline, though?

Offline keys do NOT work on Steamdeck Link

I am having the same issue as crAshun, where the installer will not properly proceed on Bazzite. I think this deserves a deeper look so we can have this fixed for Bazzite (which in turn would fix ChimeraOS and Nobara as well)

I don't have these OS installed. Check the log file in the same directory of the Aurora Launcher to see why it has failed to copy the file.

There is no log file when the error shows. All I can find is the message that shows on the installer that says " failed to copy AuroraLauncher file"

There should be a log.txt file. If there isn't one its very likely that the tool has no permission to write to the current folder. (And 99% chance that it fails to install because it also has no permission to write into the steam folder).

Maybe that OS only gives read permission to the tool. Dont know how this OS works but you could try using chmod command via terminal on the SD tool to set new permissions.
