Delete Aurora before running any online game you are worried about getting banned in (even if you dont cheat in it). Also sweep out any "Cheat Happens" or "Aurora" folders. All the game has to do is check for the Roaming\Cheat Happens\Aurora folder and you are done! 😒

Which game in particular is doing that?

So far I have only heard about fallout 76 doing it and even then it was only when the user was running both aurora and the game at the same time, not simply because of the existence of the CH/Aurora folders.

I doubt it is the latter because it could get game companies into a lot of trouble for privacy issues, not that going after those who are simply running a cheat software open (without it interacting with the game in any form) isn't controversial already. Neither of the two is actually proof that cheating in the game occurred.

Do you actually think that game companies like activision and rockstar care about banned customers complaints about their "privacy"? Have you read a EULA? They scan these folders all the time. You signed the agreement with Richochet and Denuvo/Rockstar anticheat systems in the EULA's.

EULA's are not bulletproof. If it contravenes any existing laws, they are invalid.

The companies themselves may not care but people and authorities do, especially in places like the EU where privacy is sacrosanct.

Anyway, I have yet to hear of anybody getting banned due to simply having "cheat" folders and there are many enthusiasts out there who look out for such behaviour such as active scanning of folders.

Since you mentioned rockstar, is the game in question you are talking about RDR2 and GTA?

We have heard exactly 1 occurrence (of about 100,000 instances of Aurora running PER DAY for a YEAR AND A HALF) of this happening and it was when a customer left Aurora running in the background when they were playing a purely online game. We keep Aurora running ALL THE TIME when we are working on trainers, testing games, etc etc and we have NEVER had anything of this nature happen. So please do not go about spouting doomsday conspiracy theories to scare off our users. If you use our trainers as instructed, you should be perfectly fine. No different than running the old stand alone trainers. Those trainers created the same Cheat Happens folders on the hard drive to store preferences, etc.

I played more than thousand games with standalone trainers and Aurora, never heard of such a thing but I was worried once when I ran a VAC protected game with Aurora running.
Nothing happened and this "accident" happened to me about 10 times since it first happened.
I'm good, there is no need to worry but still to be 100% sure better not run any cheat software while playing online game.

I've left Aurora open with the death stranding trainer open while loading and playing Black Desert Online and Star Citizen and it didn't detect it. I keep forgetting to close Aurora 😅
