You're not doing something right, follow the steps of the video and don't leave any step behind nor change the order of the steps.
I hope I will finish the video today, basically the whole process is about the same with minor changes that will make a big difference and make life more easier.

Method 5 (Linux-only launch option):

This method lets you launch the game from Steam with the same executable name as originally, allowing LiveSplit and .CT tables to attach correctly. This only works when playing on Linux or the Steam Deck.

Open up Steam and navigate to Elden Ring in your library. Right-click on it in the list, click on properties and paste the following into the launch options box:

echo "%command%" | sed 's/start_protected_game.exe/eldenring.exe/' | sh

I want to appologise if this has been asked before, i just wanted to ask before i sink time into trying to see if they work, but some trainers are not part of Aurora Example Final Fantasy XV trainer, I take it this are not compatible with Steamdeck and there is no way to get them working ?

I've got the trainers working fine that are in aruora but noticed a few games are stand alone that i was looking at playing on steam deck.

Sorry in advance if this has been asked before.

I tried ,much older trainers with no sucesses becuase they didn't have switches to operate via touch screen and using the Steam keyboard to activate cheats is impossible.
But this trainer is sort of hybrid, it's old and standalone yes but it has simple switches to activate the options.
Try using my method step by step only difference is that instead of Aurora you'll have to choose the trainer itself.
Please let us know if that worked for you.

I've not had anyjoy, i've got the game and trainers loading but it wont ever attach and i found i was having to have to use an external keyboard and mouse to get any joy at all.

I've also been strugling to get Auroa and HGL to work, its done it once but then now it never launches the game with the PHOTON_USE_WINED3D 1. not sure if im doing it wrong If anyone get chance to throw up a screen shot it be appericated


*edit* i've now got it to lauch Aurora, but its hanging on the Loading Screen, i entre my password and it just hangs, but then then game isnt loading in the background, For the two games im after i might just rebuy the steam versions to save effort

If the game you're running is in "Full Screen" mode then you'll need to disable that. This is especially true if the game takes in click actions.

Ok tried a few times, in steam OS direct mode Aurora is fine, In desktop mode i cannot get passed the screen shot ive attached, i tried logging in and i havent been able to type in my details, and if i do manage to it just Sits spinning, then if i try guest it just spins

Its not the end of the world but if between us we can get this working it be a win all round
