Does anyone else have a problem when after using mods the trainer can no longer find the game? I've tried to update the game path but it still says it cannot find the game.
All Cheathappens trainers are for unmodded games only. So if you having issues using a trainer while using mods we can't assist with that.
Seems like the most recent update broke something, I will add a request to check/update along with this post. I get the following when trying to activate the trainer:
Sins of a Solar Empire II, 1.30.4 (STEAM/EPIC), Last modified 11/23/2024 14:12:10
Controller connected
Successfully attached to sins2
Collect Resources, Script error in line 7: Cannot find aob for 'Collect_Resources'
This is while playing both modded and unmodded (never had any issues before with the trainer activating even with modded content), so this makes me think its the update.
What does the trainer log say?
What are the steps to replicate this issue?
Does your game version match the trainer version?
Are there any special instructions that need to be followed?
if the Instructions say to place a launcher in the game files have you replaced the launcher file?
Are you running Aurora as admin? Not doing that can cause issues for a lot of trainers.
Did you extract Aurora as opposed to just running it?
Have you reinstalled/verified the game files?
Have you restarted your computer before trying the trainer again?
Have you set the anti-virus exclusions for Aurora?
Are you running the newest version of Aurora?
Have you followed the readme instructions?
Are you opening the game from a supported launcher?
Are you running the newest version of the trainer?
Are you playing a beta version of the game?
Are you using mods?
Could you provide a save file?
Are you able to get the error message/issue on a new save?
1) What does the trainer log say?
Sins of a Solar Empire II, 1.30.4 (STEAM/EPIC), Last modified 11/23/2024 14:12:10
Controller connected
Successfully attached to sins2
Collect Resources, Script error in line 7: Cannot find aob for 'Collect_Resources'
.
2) What are the steps to replicate this issue?
Just starting the game and trying to run the trainer fails and gives the errors in the trainer log above. Even tried while in a match, same issue. Trainer fails to activate.
.
3) Does your game version match the trainer version?
No, the trainer is 1.30.4, the game is currently on 1.32.2
I have already added a request, as I stated in my original post.
.
4) Are there any special instructions that need to be followed?
None that I've seen, aside from SmileyJ above saying that the trainer isn't meant for modded games, but I have never had an issue before modded or unmodded. Its gotta be the game version.
.
5) If the Instructions say to place a launcher in the game files have you replaced the launcher file?
N/A
.
6) Are you running Aurora as admin? Not doing that can cause issues for a lot of trainers.
I do a mixture of running as admin and not, depends on the game I am playing, and frankly, never had to do so for Sins2, but I did indeed try, same error pops up.
.
7) Did you extract Aurora as opposed to just running it?
Not sure what you mean by this, so N/A.
.
8) Have you reinstalled/verified the game files?
Yes, in a sense. I downgraded to a previous version of the game, 1.31.8, and the trainer ran fine.
.
9) Have you restarted your computer before trying the trainer again?
Yes. Same issue.
.
10) Have you set the anti-virus exclusions for Aurora?
Yes. Did that a long time ago. And double checked as per the question.
.
11) Are you running the newest version of Aurora?
I assume yes, any time I start it up, it checks for updates and I always say yes. v1.10.1.0
.
12) Have you followed the readme instructions?
Yes, always do.
.
13) Are you opening the game from a supported launcher?
Yes, same as Sins1, I don't believe you can skip the launcher in the games case.
.
14) Are you running the newest version of the trainer?
Yes, refer to question 3.
.
15) Are you playing a beta version of the game?
No, main branch.
.
16) Are you using mods?
Both yes and no. As explained in question 4, the trainer has always worked even with mods. But I tried both. No dice.
.
17) Could you provide a save file?
I could probably, but I can't even get the trainer to activate, so I don't know what good that would do.
.
18) Are you able to get the error message/issue on a new save?
Since the game updated, all saves on older version don't load. So N/A
.
Had to add '.' for spacing because the Aurora program on the boards doesn't take spaces between sentences into account.

Sounds like a case of the game has updated and trainer stopped working because of. Since you already filed an update request there is nothing else then to just wait.
22:42:47: Script error in line 2: Cannot find aob for 'Unlimited_Build_Ships'
Looks like trainer is broken
