Is that a place which I can access in the game right in the beginning regardless of my ingame progress? If not, can you share a savegame? In both cases, can you explain how I get to that place?
It should be accessible from the start or the very early game... I have attached a save file just in case.
To reach the fabricator, with your back pressed against the "plort marketboard", turn 90 degrees to your right and you should see stairs going underground...
If you follow them you will find yourself in a room with 2 interactive spots, the one on the left is the fasbricator (which we were referring to), and the other is the refinery (where you deposit plorts and other crafting materials that you want to make available for the fabricator).

Well I'm on windows 10, everything updated to latest. Using trainer through aurora and haven't had any issues like that.
