When I try to run this trainer Kaspersky stops me and warns that it contains a keylogger, then urges me to disinfect and restart my system. I’ve been a Cheat Happens user for many years and never experienced this before, any idea what could be causing it?

I’ve even used this trainer in the past with no issues so not sure why it’s happening now.

It happens now because AV's getting updates constantly. Our trainers DO monitor what keys you press, that's by nature because they react to hotkeys you press. But these keys aren't logged, so it's a false positive.

We have zero control over the behavior of AVs. We do not know why they flag our trainers. If you're looking for an answer for that question you must ask them. But I'm pretty much sure they don't know either. Nowadays the detection is based on heuristic scans using AI. Nobody is actively looking at our trainer and set a flag. Its all about "could be... looks like... similar to...".

You can disable the realtime protection, download the trainer, add an exclusion and then re-enable the protection.

I must have panic clicked something when Kaspersky was trying to warn me the first time, now when I try to run the trainer it says I don't have permission to open Trainer8282.tmp

How can I reset this?

Just spitballing here...

You may have quarantined some files while panic clicking. Check Kaspersky's quarantined file list and bring back any files which look to be from CheatHappens. Make sure anything you download/unpack from CH is on an exception list, www.cheathappens.com and www.cheathappensnext.com included. If that doesn't help, it may be time to talk or email their support.

I don't use Kaspersky's AV myself, but have had a obnoxious fight with the BitDefender engine until I tossed it.

I was able to get the trainer running by disabling Kaspersky for a second. I guess it's just overly sensitive for things like this.
