If you haven't noticed there is a new small widget at the very top of the site on the far right in black that says "What's New" along with a number in the top right corner of the text. This is now the official "What's New" and "Announcement" area of the site. The number on the widget will show how many entries have been added since you last viewed it. We felt this was the best way of communicating new and updated features instead of using message board posts which can easily be missed as they roll off page 1 of the message boards. The widget will open a sidebar with the updates and you can click on one for a full page version where you can subscribe to the updates/changelog. We have also activated the "Suggestions" feature which can also be seen in full page mode. While you can submit suggestions as a "Guest", you must create a separate account in order to vote/comment on both updates and suggestions. We are looking into integrating a single sign-on for this app so that it will simply use your already logged in CH account but are still weighing the potential privacy issues.

Please note that Aurora updates will still be posted on the Aurora message board as well as on the new update widget.

Just another way we are trying to maintain contact with our users and keep everyone informed of all site/app updates without having to just stumble across them. Use it or ignore it, completely up to you. We put it in a place where it would not be "nagging" or "in your face" every time you visit. If it does become a nuisance to some users then we will add a way to disable it via user settings.

It's a good idea, although I'm uncertain if its meant to show anything at current? when I click nothing happens, I can't even remove the last chance banner and I recall usually being able to remove banners Link

You must accept CH cookies first by clicking the accept button at the popup at the bottom. Then you will see a number badge on the "Whats new" button showing how many unread news you have and clicking on it will open a side panel.

Unfortunately this cookie banner is currently blocked by most adblockers.

I moved the code. It should show now. No control over what blockers do with our cookie banner. We use one of the most widely used companies/scripts in the world for our cookie notice.
