Distant Worlds 2 Message Board  

What happened to the 8 or 9 pages on this Distant Worlds 2 message board? Also, the most recent trainer is dated 9/1/22, but aurora reports the trainer date as 8/29/22, and the last post on this DW2 board is from march 2022?

WTF?

In Aurora in the trainer list page it shows it as 9/1/22. Only if you click on "Use trainer", the GAME VERSION NUMBER says 1.0.6.4 08-29-2022. Which likely means the game has patched on this date. Its the correct trainer.

No idea about deleted posts but I can only assume that there were many posts about something isn't working which is probably fixed. If there are too many posts about the same thing which is also outdated, we will clean the thread once in a while.

Current version of the game is now 1.0.8.3 and the last trainer available is for game version 1.0.6.4

Developers moved from an already annoying and garbage graphics and game engine to an even more garbage and annoying game engine. Unfortunately since it no longer uses symbols and creates code on the fly, random memory, with random registers, we are unable to make a stable trainer for the latest version. Our older trainer works perfectly for that version if you can force steam to install it, and there is probably ways to do that.

What's going on with games lately this seems to be happening a lot where CH can't make trainers for certain games anymore?.

It mostly boils down to the game ENGINE that the developers are using. There are several major game engines, all of which we can hack just fine depending on the addition of anti-cheats and then some are a mish-mash of game engines or something the game dev tried to throw together themselves with a lack of knowledge on how game engines should work. It's not that we physically CANNOT make trainers for these games, it comes down to how much time it is going to take to figure out this whole new or mashed up engine to reverse it. It might take DAYS for ONE game and then a month later the game dev decides to trash what they had and start over with a different engine which requires us to start over. Then of course all the patches in-between where we have to dig back into their jumbled code and update something that might last 10 hours or 10 days. Cheat Happens is about STRICT time management. Do we spend 10 hours on a game that will get downloaded 10 times a day or on a game that will get downloaded 300 times a day? How many times do we have to update these trainers every week or month? We make our best guesses and analysis based on several factors and then make the best calls we can so that more people than not get at least SOMETHING for the game they are interested in at the moment. It's actually pretty amazing the amount of trainers that have NOT been retired thanks to the dedication of our hard working trainer programmers coupled with HELPFUL members of our community that understand these processes and decisions and try to help out when possible by providing savegames, detailed instructions on what might or might not be working, etc. versus just saying that the trainer "dont work" or that "game patched".

Ya wow thanks PWizard that was a great explination and I can perfectly understand the time vs users answer and yes it most certainly makes sense!. Luckily their is a game editor part of it so yet another reason also not to make trainers for this one too I suppose.

Do you - guys want to have a look at it again as they have made a Major update?

just have a quick look and see if it still with a garbage game engine, pretty please?
