    Hi all

Today i started the application only to end up in an update loop and a CMD window opened with the following error I was able to update by hand by unzipping the file it had downloaded but just wanted to report the issue I faced.

    Waiting for Aurora.exe to shutdown...
Extracting update and overwriting files, this may take a little bit...
Unhandled Exception: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Users\\Desktop\CH-Aurora\AuroraUpdate.zip' is denied.

Just troubleshooting here, usually when I see "access to path is denied" it's either the anti-virus or that the program doesn't have admin privileges. Can you add an exception to the antivirus for the ".zip" file extension for now? See how that works at least until CH support gives a better answer than I can give.

Yes, this sounds EXACTLY like your AV or security software blocking it. Please set an exception for your entire folder that Aurora is located in and maybe even disable your AV when updating and make sure you always right click and Run as Administrator on Aurora.exe when launching it.

PWizard is correct, it's the AV or any similar security software which blocks the access. Probably to scan the ZIP file first. The updater already runs with administrator rights, so that it cannot be.
