Thank you for the update. But has anyone else encountered game slowing down when the new trainer is active? It feels about 20% slower. Went back to the old trainer to check and it plays normally.
Yes, I had to start a new save and that resolved the issue.
Try clearing your temp folders.
Please delete the trainer, custom keys, debug folder where the trainer resides and all files in
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens
Learn how to make your own Trainer Cleaner for the above paths here.
Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values. This typically will resolve the issue.
This cleaner is also part of the new Cheat Happens Trainer Manager 2.0, it is found in the settings and has an easy to use one button click feature.
Did everything with no change, so I loaded a save from the last game I played and the trainer was able to see the resources. It appears that something got shifted around with the new game. Good news: trainer is not the problem, bad news: address storage locations are sneaky! I'll just blame microsoft for this one. This isn't the first time a gamepass version of the game has had issues that the steam version did not.
Using a trainer for another platform it was not made for could cause some issues. Sounds like it's loading everything the trainer is hooking to and just keeping it in memory and not dumping it. Maybe one needs to be made for GOG specifically. Just because the trainer may work, the .EXE could be slightly different enough to cause this. How about just closing the game and cleaning the temp folders and relaunching it when it begins to slow, see if it goes back to normal after that. Or even a reboot before next run.
Delete all files in
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens Temp
Heck, could even just be the game not dumping assets and nothing to do with the trainer. I've experienced that before on other titles and a reboot usually does the trick. Normally associated with a game with a memory leak problem.

Those were my thoughts too. I have gone through everything from cleaning temp folders, to restarting the game, to starting new saves, and even reinstalling the game. All have the same result. Play fine at first, and a new save is unaffected, but once the save gets further along things start to slow down. Honestly not sure if there is anything you guys can do about it cause it very well could be a game issue, but figured I would throw it out there.
