I played the original SNES version a lot, and the common cheats back then were simple.
Minimally, having infinite HP and SP as both the avatar and the angel would be sufficient. I haven't played this version enough yet, but I assume the avatar will have special attacks just like in SNES, and if we could have that ability on permanent, it would be fun.
