Soo something interested I figured I'd note, and I know this trainer is only designed for the steam version of the game... but with the previous version of the trainer, using the MS store / Game Pass version of the game, I tried to activate the trainer, but it would always fail and didn't recognize the game was running.

With this latest (1.820.2.4 v551) version of the trainer, I've noticed that aurora/the trainer will find the game and even actually activate the trainer, but a second or two later the game crashes.

Still cannot use the CH Deathloop Launcher alongside the deathloop.exe file unfortunately as it says it's in the wrong directory.

But yea, again, I know this trainer was not designed for the MS store/game pass version of the game, but I thought it was interesting.

Ok, so I've made another discovery...

You can fix the game crashing with this trainer by dropping the dinput8.dll (found on fearless revolution forum, I can't seem to include the link properly in this post)

in to the game directory where the .exe is located.

With this .DLL in place, the game longer crashes when using the trainer.

I tried most of the options in the cheathappens trainer and in my testing it's functioning 100% as it would if it was the steam game.

I posted this finding yesterday but decided to delete my post. Don't post links here to files on other forums, it's very much frowned upon.

The .dll you are referring to is not coded by Cheat Happens but it does block the Anti-Cheat thread running along side the game, essentially allowing memory editors and this trainer to work undetected on both Steam and Game Pass versions.

As Caliber said previously who knows what else that file is doing... use at your own risk.

Well, it looks like the trainer was updated to support game pass, so no longer need that DLL for it to work, which is awesome news.

When this came out on Game Pass I submitted a request for support to be added. It was approved not long after. A couple days later the request was then denied with the reasoning that they were unable to train it due to anti-cheat. Fast forward to now and I see support for Game Pass was added. What changed? lol
