Running the latest deathloop steam installation and latest chathappens trainer, including using the cheathappens launcher to start deathloop (which does start with this launcher), I only get the "failed" error message from the trainer after pressing F1.
I have submitted this report to cheathappens, so this note is really to let other users know what I've experienced.
Just FYI, here is the trainder debug error message:

Is the game updated again? The game has patched 2 times in last 3 days. It's insanity but literally EVERYTHING I WORK ON seems to be broken within 12 hours because the patching of games on STEAM is now an epidemic. NOBODY does play testing of any real substance any more. They release to the public and wait for the 1000 bug reports to come in, and with zero consequence. In fact, users seem to have glee to be part of the 'fix our game that you bought' process.
In the end, it makes our job harder and much of our work is wasted energy as the trainer is broken due to update of game less than a day later.
Maybe see if it's fixed with reboot of computer or send for update. Nobody else posted this problem as of yet.

Well, I would still like this trainer updated. My impression is that there are many more games with an inordinate number of updates. In fact, it is my impression that cheathappens will retire trainers for games that hit a certain benchmark. Wasn't that benchmark 30 or so trainer updates at one time? This games as had fewer than 20 trainer updates so it would not qualify for retirement yet.
Enough people requested the update, so new trainer for steam will be posted later today.
