just to add a little detail to what users like myself are seeing:

the first three times I try to open the trainer it takes minutes and then the trainer process exits silently. the third time the trainer takes minutes to open, way longer than any other trainer, and then finally comes up.

at the in-game menu if I hit f1 it says please wait...then the game crashes. I try again, open up the game, click activate trainer in the trainer itself, the game crashes. I look through the options in the trainer, that useless Ingame Overlay has become checked again even though I shut it off already, I uncheck it. then I hit the activate trainer button and it says "trainer activated".

I figured out the disappearing feats/background issue when leveling. it's a game issue not a trainer related issue. If you go higher then the stat caps it breaks the game. so please be careful. base stats should be 20. if you go higher the game might break. it could also be a mod issue too (if you have Toybox installed). but yea it's def not trainer related.
Edit: It's Toybox related. Make sure you have it disabled if you want your feats.

@jacobquick: That sounds like the overlay is the problem. Changing an overlay setting is saved when you properly close the trainer but usually it should take effect when you re-activate the trainer which doesn't seem to be the case. I suggest to deactivate the overlay, close the trainer and start it again make sure its still deactivated before activating the trainer.

The start delay is not a fault of the trainer but likely your AV (Windows defender?) which blocks the trainer until its fully scanned. There is no difference comparing to other trainers here on the site. For me it starts "fast". Tested on Windows 11 on an SSD with only Windows Defenders as AV but turned off submitting files to Windows defender cloud.

You're right, all the trainers I've downloaded in the last couple months are also taking forever to open now. Setting defender exclusions for them isn't helping, either.

So note sure what's happened with this newly released 1.0.1 version of the trainer, but it is persistently crashing after pressing F1 at the menu to activate it. After the first crash it asked if I wanted to disable the overlay (which worked fine previous version) and retry, which I did and it again crashed at the menu after pressing F1 to activate and hearing it say activated. The previous versions had been working fine without this issue for me but after updating today the trainer no longer seems to function. Running the Steam version of the game.
*It does seem however that launching the game, then alt-tabbing back out to manually activate the trainer at the click here button instead of pressing F1 isn't causing the game to crash and I was successfully able to load my saved game.

Okay, so done the whole folder clearing, restarting the comp, exclusions done.
Still the same, dunno what the issue is atm, i can get CE to hook and use some tables but the trainer hasn't worked in any iteration.
Steam version, latest update.

Don't own this so not sure, are save files sharable? If they are maybe posting some with the path to where it goes and a brief but detailed step to recreate your error.
