I've now done (or redone) each of those steps, painstakingly, and also rebooted into Safe Mode with networking (and no AV) and still have the failure with Mobile Ready trainers (while the older ones continue to work).

Well, when I get some time I'll trace it with the object access auditing compared with the trainers that work and see if I can find what it's unhappy about.

seems that the game crashes if the "Unlimited health" option is enabled and I use a vendor to buy new armor with +values that increase the constitution, and thus change the max health?
Anyone else noticed that?

Turn it off, buy armour, turn back on, is what I would try.

On the subject of getting the editor to work, I have noted it only loads data for values when the game is running. I make changes to values there (such as credits for instance) and nothing happens. How do I get changes in the editor to take hold?

The editor on the trainer writes the value into the game's memory as soon as you click outside of the text field (when text field loses its focus). The editor of the overlay does it when you press the return key.

I have the trainer and everthing it launches and will activate but the actual trainer screen wont display itself at all like its stuck on minimized mode. anyone have this problem before and how to fix it?

Right click on your bottom taskbar, and select cascade windows, see it it moves back to default position.
