I did try the current trainer with the steam version and that did not go well.

I already put in for an update and a new platform request as I was unsure if this was a new release, update or DLC since it looks like the same game from the Stardock website.

However, the requests have been made, just waiting to see them on the list so I can help fund it.

It appears to be a new standalone game, as it installs in addition to/separately from GalCiv4 with separate Epic Store pages.

Makes sense, though I don't buy games on Epic, so I did not check there.

Ok looking thru the galciv 4 forums looks like this is the xpac for the original game, seems they are selling it as a standalone and xpac. so looks like we need to get the trainer updated. 🙂

Will the trainer in the future support the steam version?

It might, but it would need to be requested.

To submit a request for a new distribution platform, please use our trainer requests system. Once at least 5 people request the same distribution, it will be available for funding. Please do NOT use the trainer option request system to request new platforms as they will be denied. Premium members at any level may request a new distribution as long as it’s done through the normal request system.

Hi guys! Fresh install of game on EPIC STORE shows version 1.12

The trainer is clearly marked for EPIC.

Any other platforms there is no trainer for it and you have to use the system properly to request new trainer for that platform (i.e. Steam)
