I have been playing it. It is different from the original in a few subtle ways. I feel like it is better on the quality of life for using the campaign map. The combat is still the same. I am also glad they didn't do anything to change the dog zerg rush strats.

Just hit the purchase and download button. Loved the original many years ago so I'm hoping this brings a bit of a modern touch to it. Loved Rome 2, but it just didn't have the same amazing feeling as the original Rome.

It is quite good so far. I remember a strat with dogs but I dont remember how to do so, or with which faction it is possible.

lol yep dogs are so op , wiped out multiple armies with 5 losses min with the dogs.

I dont know.. I kinda like how simple yet so good the battle mechanics were with the original.. also just realised that Rome had an issue with unit sizes in the descr_unit file where it crashes when its more than 60...
