Made a separate account to mess around with, just did the quest to save Eva, and when i try to claim the reward the game crashes.

I have tried DX12 and DX11, resetting the trees, removing the boosted resources, and even putting the normal EAC back into the game.

it still crashes at the spot.

It's not the trainer. That's a known bug, literally everywhere. They've even addressed it in the patch notes. Google is free.
