Is there something I can do on my end to fix the fact that I apparently play obscure games no one else does and I now have 2 trainers that don't show up in the "picker" for TM 2.0? Is there a database file I can modify or some .bin or .dat I can edit, anything?
Have you tried turning on the option in settings to "Include Third Party Trainers" to see if that makes them show up?
I had that turned on already, however "and I don't know if its just a coincidence or not" my Anti-Virus software [Bit-Defender Total Security 2021] was really getting on my last nerve so I said screw this and used their removal tool and went back to Kaspersky Security Cloud. When I rebooted the computer without Bit-Defender I had two squares with just the CH Logo show up and if I hover over it I can see the filename of the EXE for them both, as well as double click and launch them.
So Bit-Defender had to be blocking something, that's the only change and now I have the two CH Buttons at the top.
Sirs, I am trying this new trainer manager and reporting the behavior I get upon using it. I have unzipped it and set the file to run as admin. It is opening just fine and I also clicked on the Get Steam installed games button which took some time to scan the installed library games. Once it was done, it did not show the games but when I toggled the view to undock the list of games and re-dock it, it finally showed the games. For those having issues not being able to see their games after clicking the scan feature, this might help.
As for the issue I have at the moment, it's something to do with getting the trainers to be detected as installed. After having the list of games show up, I double clicked on one of them to download the trainer (I don't have the trainers yet). It showed me the page with the download link for the game's trainer and I have downloaded it without issues. Problem is it's just on my downloads folder with the zipped format that it had when it was originally downloaded. With the previous version, it auto unzips it and detects the trainer. With this one, it doesn't appear to do so.
Would you know what I should do next to get the trainer to be detected as installed? Attaching screenshot as to where I am now. Appreciate any advise and sorry for bothering you guys on this.
Thank you!
This has been addressed several times in this thread. The TM downloads to the Windows Downloads folder right now and it cannot be changed. When Microsoft updates their code to allow for it, we will add the functionality in. You need to manually unzip the trainer(s) to your selected Trainers folder and then when auto-updating they will auto-unzip to the trainers folder and update.
Is it only me but sometimes I can't open manager, need to restart computer and when open, it has reset to standard as first time open it?!
Try closing the TM. Go into the folder where the TM is installed and delete the Layout.xml file. Then restart TM and see if it solves your issue.

It doesn't show in task manager so can't close it but i will try when it happens again.
