Please try to include detailed steps on what you were doing at the time of any errors, Thanx 😉

Think I found a minor bug. The Lunch CoSMOS button doesn't seem to like the beginner version. An error appears saying "requested operation requires elevation." CoSMOS Advanced works just fine and is located in the same folder. Beginner launches fine when run directly through explorer.

Try setting CoSMOS to run as admin, in it's properties. Link

No luck with the Run as Admin option. I also applied the setting to all users encase the manager was using a system account of some kind.

I tried running the manager as an admin and nothing happens when I try to run CoSMOC Beginner. No error message, nothing. I am running the current build of CoSMOS downloaded today.

Great work on the new trainer. I ran into a few small problems with 2.0.6 that I'll mention here in case it helps anyone.

I originally extracted TM to a `Program Files` subfolder which didn't work because of restricted access. When I tried to run it, I got a bunch of runtime errors which quickly clued me in.

While hunting for a suitable new home, I came across `$USER\Chathappens\` and decided to make two folders under that, one for `My Trainers` and one for `Trainer Manager`. Moved the TM and it ran, but none of the art work was displayed, just a generic CH logo.

I looked at the log.txt and found that it was getting an error for most of the trainer art because it was looking in a GameCoverCache folder in the old location.

I checked the Settings.json file and corrected the path, and that fixed all of the trainers for which there was art on the CH site.

Something I also bumped into was that some of the art on CH is in `webp` format, but the dialog for setting a custom cover art doesn't accept the `webp` extension. Only `jpg` and `png`. Might be worth updating that dialog to allow it.

Finally, When art isn't found for multiple trainers, they all have the same generic CH logo which means you can't tell them apart unless you hover over them with the mouse.

It might be nice to use CSS or some `data URI` hackery to overlay the name of the trainer on top of the CH logo. ( www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_image_text.asp ) or ( stackoverflow.com/a/52714970 )

I hate to do this but I think I found a bigger issue. I did a search of the thread and found a few issues tied to the mini window but nothing that matched the errors I'm getting.

I tried out the On Start option 'Open mini TM window' and got the 2 errors in the JPEG named 'Mini TM Enabled on Start' immediately after restarting. When I disabled the option and restarted I got a different error shown in 'Mini TM Disabled on Start' once the TM boot sequence gets to Preparing GUI and it just sits there spinning.

I deleted all the TM files and reinstalled which cleared the errors. I tried the 'Open mini TM window' option once more and the error occurred again.

You may need to re-install your framework

    .NET Framework (get latest) Link

It's not technically possible to reinstall .NET Framework 4.8 on Windows 10 version 1903+, the downloads you link to, are not applicable to Windows 10.

It's only possible to reinstall .NET Framework 4.8 on Windows 7 but the new trainer manager does not even function any version of Windows earlier than Windows 10 version 19H1.

You can run the .NET Framework 4.8 installer on Windows 10 it just won't do anything. You can only have a single instance of .NET Framework 4.8 installed.

Who was your response directed towards?

(I have answered hundreds of Super User posts on .NET Framework issues over the last decade)

I think that was directed towards me, and I can confirm, even when you remove it from windows features, its still installed.

A bullet might have your name on it, but a Grenade is addressed to "Whom it may concern."
