Turn off cloud save, it may be your save game that is the problem and it may keep downloading it from the cloud. Start a new game and then try the options. If they work on the new game. try the save again. If they still don't work on the save then you might just have to start again.

I tried disabling the saves on the cloud, deleting them and also starting a new game but still some options do not work. Those about the lair as money and power work but those about minions and the Genius they don't work.
I also tried to reinstall the game.
I don't know what else to try.

i was able to fix my first playthrough save with the reset power one

The trainer refuses to start on my pc, the header cheathappens comes up for a few seconds and then it's just crashed with no error message.

I had this, set the advanced virus detection to ignore the trainer and it now loads perfectly. seems to trigger the advanced detection feature in virus scans.
