Didn't check the network. But I've never seen an exe use 40% gpu and 0% cpu out of nowhere.

I'm maybe jumping to conclusions, but I've never seen that in my life and I've never had a trainer even use a 1% of my gpu.

My GPU usage is like 2-4%, and actually is less usage than the EPIC GAME LAUNCHER that EPIC uses to launch it's games (you know, the Unreal Engine people).

Some programs, including games, use GPU calls to quickly blit or display graphics for a smoother visual exprience. Actually quite common.. The GPU, or graphics processing unit, is literally to display graphics in an accelerated manner. Our trainer isn't borking your framerates by any appreciable manner. Further it's using very low amount of power out of your GPU. Oddly enough, the EPIC launcher appears to be more of a power drain that our trainer.

Google Chrome ALSO uses your GPU, likely, and the amount it uses can get quite high, depending on the graphical and HTML5 content.

One thing you can try which probably will set the trainer GPU usage to nearly zero, is to minimize it to the taskbar, if you already know the keyboard shortcuts. This likely works for nearly ALL programs that use GPU.

    good day,

Just played in Total War: Hammer II, with CH trainer.

I am running with the following hardware:
    Processor: Ryzen 9 5950x
    RAM: Corsair 4x16GB @3200Mhz
MB: ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS (WI-FI) (AM4, ATX)
VC: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 10240Mb VENTUS 3X OC.
    HDs: Samsung Evo pro 1TB x2 (m2)

    Windows 10 x64 Professional;
    Kaspersky IS;

If I just turn off the kaspersky - it doesn't solve the problem at all.

(Just to be clear - I have NO illegal software on my PC, so there's everything is bought)

And guess what? I noticed that after 3-4hrs of gaming, it started to lag a lot... like little freezes. I've opened system monitoring (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and the CH trainer uses over 98% of GPU.

I'm a CH client for many years enough, to not believe that it is trying to do something bad (mining, virus etc)... but really, what the heck? xD
    😭

Your GPU is at 98% usage because you're running a game along with a trainer and probably other things running in the background as well. The trainer alone isn't using 98% of your GPU. If it was, then your game would instantly CTD because there wouldn't be much GPU memory left to support the weight/size of the game.

So yes, 98% of your GPU memory is being utilized and that is normal when you are playing a game, especially with graphical settings set to higher levels. But no, the trainer alone isn't utilizing 98% of your GPU memory.

I'm getting really high GPU usage with Hitman 3 trainer recently also. 3070 and my PC will struggle browsing doing anything if I have these two things running in the background. The highest I have seen it the trainer itself using is around the 60% mark myself but I have not done any extensive testing yet. This applies to me with the latest and previous version. I noticed a thread with similar problems for AC Valhalla. It's a stab in the dark but they're both Ubi games?

Has anyone discovered a reliable fix for this problem? I noticed it when playing Necromunda: Hired Gun. Game started stuttering badly, so checked my Task Manager. GPU was 100% but the game was only using 16%. The other 84% was being used by the trainer. Needless to say, this is an alarmingly high number.

I did some experimenting, and leaving the trainer open with no game running causes it to use up to 20% GPU with a Moderate power usage. Minimizing the trainer to the taskbar drops this number to 0% and Very Low power usage.

Testing this while the game it running revealed similar numbers. So long as the Trainer stays minimized to the taskbar, it doesn't use any GPU at all. As soon as it takes up any amount of screen (even if it is in the background) it starts hogging GPU for some reason.

Just chiming in here and say that the Wolcen trainer is doing the same thing. I'm actually getting pretty bad FPS drops with the trainer up.

    Still happening on Death Stranding.

%26 GPU usage before trainer and %100 after trainer activates.

    Questions:

    1. Is the trainer running in fullscreen/maximized? If yes, how does GPU usage changes if you put it back to normal window size? If no, how does GPU usages changes if you maximize the window?
    2. What is your DPI screen value?
    3. How does GPU usages changes when you switch between trainer and editor tab?
    4. What is the refresh rate of your monitor?
    5. For Nvidia users please check the value of "adaptive sync mode" in your Nvidia control panel and tell me what is currently selected.

I have to wonder what type of potato people are running.

Just for gits and shiggles, I've left the Sins of a Solar Empire trainer running for more than 14 hours (with the game also running). Not minimized, up on the screen.

Here's the stats on the trainer:

    CPU load MAX: 2.3%
    CPU load MIN: 0.4%
    CPU load AVG: 1.35%

    GPU load MAX: 2.5%
    GPU load MIN: 1.1%
    GPU load AVG: 1.85%

It's been hanging at max mem usage of 161.5MB.

For reference, here are my system's specs:

    CPU: Ryzen 7 3900X
    RAM: 64GB ECC OC'd to 3200
GPU: AMD 5700XT (driver version 21.7.2)
    OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H1
    AV: Windows Defender
