Hey guys,
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
I'll have the Infinite Health on and it's been working wonderfully. However, I am now in, I think, the second side quest level and I noticed that if any of the enemies suddenly generates a red aura about them and then attack me, I'm killed instantly.
Perhaps I'm missing something here? I'm just confused. If they're a normal enemy, they can hack away at me and I will not once falter. But, if one suddenly gets that aura, it's a one-hit kill to me.
@IvanWolf when using infinite life if the damage numbers exceed the maximum life you currently have your dead.
Currently in Path of Nioh +8 Penance Stone and a lot of mobs can 1 shot me
My current workaround load up a build with a lot of heath
*you're dead
And, yes, it was because I didn't notice that my stats were back down to Level 1 figures so that's pretty much what happened. I just readjusted my stats to a higher level and no longer encountered that issue.
To IvanWolf
its the way the trainer works
I have noticed that when I take high enough damage to 1-hit kill me I die.
even with the trainer on.
so I assume the way the trainer works is instead of actively freezing the hp
it instead reverts your hp back to max once it no longer max value.

You are correct. I was originally under the impression that it froze my health but after having that happened, I realized it operated like how a lot of older cheats (i.e., GameShark, Action Replay) worked back then. Once I adjusted my level back to a higher one, I didn't encounter that issue again.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but i want to alert people to the fact that the trainer seems to be preventing keys necessery to progress in certain missions from being dropped.
I encountered this issue specifically in Song of the Yokai as well as a Twilight mission (which name escapes me right now) and i know that it's the trainer causing the issue as after failing to get the key drop multiple times with the trainer active the one time i didn't use it the key dropped first attempt.
Hmmm i'm also having trouble with Song of the Yokai mission where the back room key wont drop so i didn't use the trainer at all and the key still didnt drop, so i'm not sure if its the trainer or not.

When you say you didn't use it, did you have it running at all? I've had it running in the background a couple of times without being active and the key wouldn't drop but when i played the mission without having even launched the trainer at all it dropped.
What's more i did contact Koei Tecmo about this issue and was having a detailed exchange with them and they cannot replicate it themselves which leads me to believe that it is most likely interference from a third-party program, and a trainer is the most obvious culprit in that case.
Its nothing to do with the trainer, its a bug that happened in the ps4 version as well. I have seen a lot of steam posts on the fourms with people having the same issue.
There's not "a lot of posts" on the Steam forums there's two, i'm a part of both of them, and there aren't a significant number of people posting about encountering the issue. Both threads are very small and half the comments in both them are statements from people saying how they HAVEN'T encountered it as an issue.
Also i know of the pre-existing issue on the PS4 but it stands to reason they would've ported over the patch for that as well having already fixed it. At the very least they would've been aware of the fact that it was an issue and dealt with it quickly with their first patch.
