does anyone else game just sit at the loading screen?
Ensure your drivers are up to date, setting vSync to Adaptive, and changing your cpu Priority Class for Valhalla to Normal or Above Normal. I use a 3rd party program to change the Priority Class, not sure if Windows has a built in functionality.
Just an FYI,
Do not spend hours exploring or upgrade all your gear with the upgrade cheat before getting out of the first settlement formally, and by that I mean naturally in the games story line.
You will most likely get stuck on a certain part and be unable to progress, I have confirmed this via a few mates who all did the same thing - Save your gearing cheats for a little bit further in!
I found your post a little bit too late. Problem started after I left Norway and start a new life in England. Since the max item setting give you like 99999999999 so I was building and upgrading my new town structure like no else business. Only to find out that there is a quest to do that and everything else didn't work after the full upgrades. Now, I have to start a new game after playing it for 14 hours in Norway LOL! Also guys don't use the max item setting as its somehow use your PC resources very high and crash your game. I'm running on 2080 super. So weird.

I agree. I'm using Intel TBMT 3.0 for my CPU.
thanks its working now, does anyone know why the game will only work in window mode. It is stuck in a lower resolution, like boxed in like a movie, I looked online and couldnt find anything.
Weird, I play in full screen, using the GeForce Experience recommended settings.

I too am now having to restart, I used the max gather items cheat, now the game doesn't register anything I pick up.
There is a side mission where you pickup a key to unlock a lock, well you pickup the key, the game doesn't register you have the key so you're stuffed.
I could list 3 other mission prior that similar things happened, but I looks like another 12 hours of gameplay down the toilet.
Time to slog it out the hard way with Inf health and stamina.
