In the case of "Unlimited Research Points", we need a higher value or the option to set the value ourselves.

Research Points are currently set to 3333,3 after activation. But this is not always enough. More points are required at higher research levels.

Is there any way to edit the values used in the trainer?

With the Kingdoms Reborn trainer, there is a toggle option for "Unlimited SP". I've looked everywhere, searched Steam forum posts, guides, etc... What the heck is "SP" exactly? Sorry if this is completely a dumb question, but I just got the game and have no idea.

EDIT: I think it's Science Points... but if that's true, it seems to be locked at 3,333.3 and I require higher than that to advance technologies.

Agreeing to that. SP should be fixed at something above 1.000.000 points instead as higher research tiers are about 1 million SP to research

Same for the money. Some buildings that offer Quick Build are at about 600K gold to complete but the value of unlimited money is set to 100K only

If save games can be share upload them to this board and message the trainer maker they are here and ask if the values can be adjusted. Does not have the time for extended play through at times so has to make the best guess as to what should be good for future play.
