I use to be able to use any Cheat Happens Trainer but recently I'm not able to do so. I have allowed folder ( where I store the trainers ) and the .exe themselves in Bitdefender and Malwarebytes as an exception. I also Disabled both of these security programs and still nothing. I have not added anything else to my PC no matter what key I assign and what hotkey I press the trainers will not activate.

Bitdefender has an advanced threat scanner that targets trainer activation and kills it. You have to turn it off, though it won't stay off and will re-activate itself. Best way to deal with it is

    Bitdefender uninstall tool
    www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

And get another one if your going to continue to use trainers.

Avoid Bitdefender, Webroot and F-Secure. They are NOT trainer friendly at all.

No, a Windows update wouldn't affect your trainers. If that was the case there would be about 100,000 people on here complaining that their trainers stopped working instead of 1 person. It's likely your security software that updated or some other third-party software on your machine.

Agree with what's been said above. Bitdefender is frequently a problem for gamers. At best it'll be difficult to use with trainers.

If you're willing to switch, ESET is a product you should checkout. After setting up your exceptions, you can set and forget ESET while using trainers as you please. I'm sure there's others out there but it's been easy to work with, kept my rig free of viruses, malware and other nasties and doesn't hassle me about how I'm gaming.

That was the Failure at Airport CEO.

    19:23:41: Controller detected
19:23:41: Airport CEO, Beta 2.2-3 (STEAM)
19:24:29: Successfully attached to Airport CEO
19:24:51: construct, Script error in line 3: 'ConstructionController+d__16:MoveNext+1D5' is 0 or not a valid address

But perhaps i have tried 10-20 Games. No one will work since today. The last try was on Sunday last week. So something is wrong. Sorry. I have no Anti Virus and deinstalled the October Updates from Windows.

All Games played with Steam. Perhaps is that the Failure?

Origin Star Wars Squadron works. So the Problem ist Steam.

Just to add my thoughts to this. I worked for an antivirus company before my current job and we had some bad experiences with both Malwarebytes and Bitdefender.

Some of the users install multiple antivirus software at the same time to potentially increase the protection but in fact this will just make things worse. The apps can conflict with each other which can lead to all sort of issues.

Only use a single AV software and I would not suggest anything besides Windows Defender. Honestly, unless you click shady links all day you don't need any special antivirus software like the above.

Some antivirus programs can also function even if you disable it or if your license expires. The only thing that changes is the functionality of the app and how much "force" it puts onto your files to stop them from running if it thinks its not safe.

I used many antivirus software before like the above, Norton AVG etc, but a couple years ago (when I worked for the AV company) I stopped using any of them even though I had the access to unlimited licenses. Just use your head and Windows Defender will protect you.

In case if Windows Defender starts to dislike your trainers you just have to add them to the exclusion list, though Defender never stopped me from using trainers.

If you have no antivirus software installed besides Defender, as PWizard mentioned it is possible that another 3rd party app blocks the trainer. Unfortunately, this could be anything. I would suggest turning off unnecessary applications one-by-one to see which one might stop the trainers to function.

I hope the above helps. Take care!
