Well with it being a CDPR game i am sure they'll open up some form of redkit mod system like they did with the witcher titles,
worst comes to it im sure it'll be tied into nexusmods for easy installs
The trainer side of things is what will bug me as i'll have to wait for another distribution option to be funded so i can actually have a mess around due to steam possibly being the default platform the staff and coders choose
I think the need of waiting for another platform to be funded will be dependent on the nuances of making a trainer for this particular game. Often times trainers intended for one platform work just fine on others, like the Witcher 3 trainer working for Steam, GOG and Origin. That won't necessarily be the case here, but it could be.
I'd lean to that bein the case here. It uses the an update version of the Witcher 3 engine and CDPR has never been big on anticheat and drm (been bacisally anti-drm since at least the Witcher 2) in their games. Add in that between pc platforms the only thing they stated was different was the ability to launch from that platform, but all are supposed to be drm free meaning they can launch and run without using said platform. With all that in mind there really shouldn't be much if anything different in the code between the actual platforms.
