When game companies start releasing working finished games again and not half baked, patchy and broken messes that need 1000 hotfixes this would not be necessary. But people pay for these busted early access games so they will keep doing it and trainers will need to be put on hold because of it.
To be fair to Buyers of games, BG3 creators and Steam NEVER stated it was going to release as a Beta but as a full on game! That is why I shelled out my money ASAP for the use of the coupon I had. I never knew it would release as a beta!!
Much like what happened to Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2. They stated a delivery date, no beta, even showed game play video action, I bought, and now more than 2 years later no news!!
Should there not be a customer protection agency to prevent this fraudulent behaviour? We have it in my country, BUT as it is sold on the net and from US or foreign country they cannot sanction!
Do you have any idea how many games I have on HOLD and for how long? A patch may be nice when a huge update comes out like Patch 6. Up to this patch the old trainer would 60% work...
Now nothing works and this is not a regular little patch like usual (and I agree with Cal on this - too many little patches) but this one is huge and likely to be the last one to the release which however will be way months away....
The reason of all the cancellations for my trainer requests and all the Holds, are the main reason I am debating (and actually cancelled) my kickstarter pledge of 500 dollars for the life plus plus etc offer.
What good is it if I get no trainers and cannot benefit from the service? A patch every day is a no-no, but, a new version of the trainer for a patch that will likely work for 4 to 6 months at least is or should be allowed.
Lifemember from the beginning, when trainers would come out all the time....@Caliber

You mention "release" but... It has always been stated it will be an Early Access and that it should stay that way for months if not even years. COVID came and slowed things as well... But we all knew we would only have access to the first act, exactly as they did for Divinity Original Sins 2...
So this game is NOT released at all, it is following the planned Larian's path...
