How about a few basic features while it is in early access ?

Freezing health for example would only take a few min to implement.

I have been trying to modify stats or ability points to get stats COSMOS. I find all 6 stats no problem, but modifying them seem to do nothing. I have tried giving myself 54 instead of 27 stat points and get all my stats to 15+ that way, but the game does not allow me to "Venture Forth" from character creation if I spend more than 27 points. Any advise on how to hack it?

You've done most of the legwork so you're almost there! Once you've identified which values are tied to your stats click on the reccommended stats button so that you can venture forth, do not edit them in your value editor as it will create an error in the character creation. Instead, once you are on the creation screen for the one you dream of, then you can edit your stats to whatever you will like and it will keep the values without creating an error.

I was just reporting that right now Patch 5 means the trainer does not work. Also I am just missing the option to cheat on dice rolls because I want to see what some of the options do. Now in the real game I plan to play as a bard, so I will have the stats that I don't need to cheat.

I also totally respect waiting until the game is actually out to write a trainer, but it still does not mean I don't miss the trainer working. 😉

Someone has been asking on steam's General Discussion Board

Baldur´s Gate 3's Discussion board and asking if they could fix the game so that their trainer is working.

Just so you know a steam moderator might act on it and the person who reported it on steam Discussions might get banned. So it might be our first BG3 Ban yet.

It's unfortunate that the game trainer has been put on hold but understandable. Also, getting to play the game and experience the changes as it is developed (rather than just reading long patch notes) is well worth preordering the product but I get that it's not every one's cup of tea. As least we can still use Cosmos and CE to modify certain aspects of the game. Keep up the good work and hopefully the game won't be too far into the future for its full release. 🙂

I was just gonna say that there IS a way to play the Game with the Trainer, But you would have to play it if you have a GOG version of the game

Just revert to an Earlier patch of the game, and use the Trainer

You can revert to older patches with Steam as well. Just go into the Betas section in Properties and select one of the previous patches. They have Patches 2, 3, and 4 available there. Your save games (if you haven't deleted them) should also be compatible, barred any issues with you using the same profile in a new patch and it trying to upgrade your saves to a newer version thus corrupting them.
