That's not the issue. If you somehow gain the encumbered trait during gameplay, even when you change your inventory and have zero weight enabled and are able to hold all the items and move normally, you can't interact with climbable objects. There's something that still thinks you are encumbered. I solved that by just never getting encumbered because I had the option selected before I loaded into the game. Apparently you can also fix this by just dropping enough things that their weight without the option on would not encumber you, making sure the option is on, and then picking everything up.

I always had zero weight showing in my inventory when this happened to me on my previous character.

i've not had that issue before... though i'll admit i've only done climbing 3 times in the game so far, so i probably just missed it lol

I see there has been three update requests filed. I'm going to go on record as saying after the big patch I did not having any problems using any options in the trainer. I'm using GOG version.

I have taken to editing attributes through CoSMOS at character creation now that I can extract and edit the game files directly to change the caps and various other things though.

Likewise, no issues with the trainer since the update was filed. I too have been directly editing the attributes via CE.

still working on identifying the feats table and figuring that out... but have actually figured out how to edit some movement... so i now have a drow ranger with the wood-elf 14m range for combat XD

That's exactly what I'd like to do, down to the details. Rangers are my favorite, and drow in particular since they were introduced as playable in the fiend folio mag back in the day.

I am a complete novice with CoSMOS, though I did get into it enough to edit attributes. Can you give enough of a rundown on how to get at the movement speed that a layperson could follow?

The solution is to save and load with the option on, and the status will go away.

movement speed is easily set by a modifier that can be attached to items...

i've currently got a ring for my ranger that i attached a +6m movement to, bringing my Drow ranger up to a solid 15m movement, along with a few other perks lol

most of the stuff i'm playing with comes from unpacking the actual game files and playing with the base of the game... changing starting equipment, stuff like that
