How bout short distances, same result? Also try teleport the direction your facing, I don't think anything your not looking at on screen is rendered or it unloads.
Are you all sure you have the unlimited heath option on?
Another Mod is checking on it and will get back to me.
Servius tried it and it was working for him, said it was best to teleport to a known flat area on the map if possible. It did put him under the ground but it loaded him back at his last main point.

It seems like the elevation is the issue. If you teleport from somewhere high to somewhere low, you die. From low to high you need to press it twice. Not sure there's a work around on this one.
