Is anyone else having issues with the Unlimited Fate option? I toggle it on, use reckoning, everything seems alright. After reckoning finishes, I have 188% fate. I'm then unable to use it again until I toggle the option off and kill an enemy which resets it to 100%.

Can you tell me how to engage a 'Reckoning"?
best,
Cal
I usually use it until it either runs out, or you can use a finisher on an enemy. This also completely empties the bar as well.
Hey Cal,
I'm a longtime member and I greatly appreciate what you're going through with this game. I have a computer science degree myself and I'm sure the code is just a jumble after a totally new team worked to update old code with no access to whoever originally wrote it.
Reckoning is the mechanic where you slow time and execute enemies when you have a full fate bar. For a gamepad it's RT+LT, I'm not sure the keyboard binds (this game doesn't work well with mouse and keyboard in my opinion).
For what it's worth, everything in the new trainer seems to be working for me except the skill points. Even in the old version of the game the trainer wouldn't allow you to use the option for max fate and then go into reckoning mode without at least killing one enemy.
I assure you I'm following directions exactly, but when I go into the level up screen I can't manipulate skillpoints (that's the first screen in level up with things like detect hidden, mercantile, lockpick, etc.). If I change the skillpoint value in the editor I do get that many ability points in the next screen to level up might, finesse, and sorcery. The ability value in the editor then spits back some crazy values.
There is only one actual version of the game code by the way. The Fate edition on steam is just the package that pre-purchases the planned dlc they have lined up for next year.
Thanks
Hey Mordred,
Could you tell me how did you get the XP option working? Should I put the number of XP that is needed for the next level-up or how did you do it? If I understand correctly the skillpoints you put into the editor turned into ability points in-game, during the level up screen?
For me, adding skillpoints works. I alt-tabbed out of the game when in the skillpoint screen and put 200 in the skillpoint window in the editor, then went back to the skillpoints screen and it had updated to 200. The same doesn't work for the ability points. Even in the editor window, it resets to ?? no matter what numbers I've put in.
The code in this game must be really messed up and it would explain some of the new issues that came with the remaster, along with problems from the original game.
Maybe something like this will be made for the Re-reckoning as well. Lua console:
