Fortunately, although Carrots website doesn't have a download link for the offline trainer version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, from within Aurora itself there is indeed an offline trainer download button, and after using it, it seems to work with the game without crashing it. Hopefully this solves the problem.

Since Aurora's latest update, it always crashes the game at moment of trainer activation.

Even if I rolled back my hard drive, Aurora doesn't allow disabling of auto-updates, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider does not have an offline trainer version on Carrots website, ie. use of Aurora is compulsory.

Please help.

Update to post:
I found that keeping the game in Windowed mode (instead of tabbing in and out of full screen mode) seems to be more stable and reduces crashing. Not sure if it will prevent crashing altogether. However, before the recent Aurora update, I didn't have any problems tabbing between windowed and full screen mode, no crashing at all.

Although more stable than using Aurora online trainer (which crashes the game at moment of trainer activation), the offline trainer within Aurora does not immediate crash the game at moment of trainer activation, but after a while into the game, the game still crashes with the latest trainer.

Please help.

Update to game crashing when trainer is activated after Aurora update:

I've finally solved the crashing problem.

The solution is to turn OFF (Aurora turns it on by default) the "Auto-Inject Overlay" under settings of the trainer in Aurora.

Cheat Happens should not enable it by default, as I'm sure many other users also experience crashing as a result of the Cheat Happens overlay when the game is in full-screen mode.

It's too bad Invisible doesn't work on piranhas, so much for that treasure chest
