I write this with the fear that it may be retired.
I wrote when the trainer was 1.06 .05 and update needed due to editor editing wrong values. And also as described in here that ones certain values hit 0 (Metal and IP mainly) they all together stop working.
So I was excited today when I saw a new trainer come out thinking it will be fixed. Sadly I was mistaken. On my save game it was as before. Started a new game and let it go a turn and the same thing happen again. Values are in wrong edit window and metal and IP falls out when reaching 0 in game.
I guess it's just with how the game is coded and making a trainer work with it is hard. If it's anything I can do to make it work or if someone has a cosmos file that works. Let me know
Thank you guys who make the trainer even thou this one seems to be a hazzle to get to function
EDIT: I notice that it says digital download and not steam. May that be the reason for it being weird on steam version?

This will never be "fixed". Why? Because this game is created by amatuers with a script like language. I have no idea what order the data will load on your machine.
There's not much else to say about this, and I've likely posted such previously.
To be honest, I didn't WANT to work on this title, for a multitude of reasons, but mostly because I knew it would be a headache and be patching incessantly as the developer learns how to code and decides how to make his crap engine do what he wants. Just running the game in a window is a pain.
So reluctantly I accepted, and have regretted it ever since. Hopefully you learn to work around the quirks and appreciate that a trainer even exists for this dog. I knew THEN that likely less than 50 people out of our gigantic base of members would even use the trainer. So here we are.
We appreciate the members, and try to strive for what they are asking for, but in the end games like this generally become an endless time sink full of complaints.
I have no idea if the trainer works on steam or not. We purchased this from the site when Steam didn't have the game. Likely, once again, the developer has no clue how to make a release that sort of instinctively works with steam api without having to do major blah blah to his "engine".
In the end I am likely not doing much more with this title. I don't plan to retire, but it's always a possibility if the cons outweigh the pros on titles like this.

I was talking Cypher on discord and was told to upload my shadowempire exe file for steam and PM Caliber to have a look if trainer functionally on steam doesn't work since trainer is for Retail version
From discord:
😈CyPHeR369Today at 10:37 PM
Steam shows ShadowEmpire.exe exe 11.44 MiB not sure if is the same as the other
post your steam exe (zipped) in the forum and PM Caliber to take a look
From trainer debug
22:08:36: ATTENTION: You're running a STEAM game but the trainer was for RETAIL, the trainer or a cheat may fail to activate
File added. Shadowempire.exe
Goes in main folder for game on steam
I would have looked at this, but alas the .exe is not included.
therefore, we are no closer to knowing if the trainer works on steam version. I really don't want to HAVE to buy this dog again, or make two trainers that BOTH are patching over and over.
Could someone test the trainer on STEAM and see if you get some success? Or, again, you can try to post the .exe somewhere and link to it.
best,
Cal
