Dragon's right, unfortunately. If a game is, as you said, hard but not impossible, that's often a deal breaker for the two extremely busy programmers. A game that's taking an inordinate amount of time keeps them from all the other new games, countless updates and multiple distributions these days.

The database has a lot of examples of games exactly like that. Especially with all the anti-cheats devs are putting in single player games these days that Caliber and 0X90 have to work around. We lost another popular game that was retired last week for just that reason; Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.

Ehm, you may wish to refrasse that, as it reads (in the wording) that basically we can only expect trainers that are easy to make and anything that requires effort will simply be retired. I thought the point of subscribing, and this coming from a very early on Life Member, who when he had a chance turned Life with yearly extra contribution, was to actually be able to finish the games we would like and where we find ourselves stuck. I do not know the economics of the site and as such can only speculate, therefore I will not do that, but depending on financial issues and constraints, 2 programmers for sooo many games out there is a bit on the thin side.As for the difficult to crack codes, there are sites out there that crack big name games such as Division 2 (mind you, they charge $135 per month...) on multiplayer (action I am totally against) are never caught, do not get banned, as Ubi doesn't want to lose players, and I get always creamed by those back wipers.... What I am saying is, if someone can crack and continue to be undetected by EAC or whatever else they use, and update constantly for a PvP game, surely single player would be easier, justs needs more hands on it. That is why I, when given the chance to go beyond my life membership and pay extra, I keep doing it, because I like to see trainers for games I like, purchase and will purchase, on the chance I may get stuck sometime or want to customize. That is all.

I don't need to rephrase anything. If you think that's incorrect, ask the staff. Look, none of us wants to hear that a trainer we use has been retired but it happens. I told you about AC Syndicate and it being retired because it had so many anti-cheats it was taking just too long to update. I was told that by both Pwiz and Caliber.

Times have changed a lot since we both joined, I'm sure you know that. Increasingly larger numbers of updates, huge numbers of new games constantly coming out and now all the many distributions all combine to cramp the programmers available time.

I manage the voting in the Bring Back Retired Trainers Thread and I've heard it many times. Some games are too difficult to make trainers for, that it keeps them from working on so many other new trainers and updates. That or the game being updated too frequently are the main reasons games are retired. I've asked many times about listing a retired game for voting and have been told exactly what I'm telling you.

And no, they don't only do easy games. Some games are extremely complicated and also now need massive iterations and the numbers have continued to increase. The game ARK: Survival Evolved, for instance, has now had like 134 trainers iterations. And there's many games with more than 30 or 40 or 50 iterations. Those take an enormous amount of time.

Pwiz has posted these numbers before, it gives you an idea of how things were many years ago compared to now:

    2008 335 trainers released
    2009 512 trainers     +53%
    2010: 526 trainers     + 3%
    2011: 803 trainers    +53%
    2012: 1120 trainers    +39%
    2013: 1884 trainers   +68%
    2014: 2131 trainers   +13%
    2015: 2040 trainers   - 4%
    2016: 2479 trainers   +22%
    2017: 3017 trainers   +22%
    2018 3367 trainers   +12%
    2019 3227 trainers   - 4%
    2020 3125 trainers   - 3%
    2021 1497 as of 6-21-2021

I do a little volunteer work here, I have nothing to do with the Staffing or finances but as you can see, it's a much different landscape now than 10-15 years ago. It's also been explained that if they were to staff enough programmers to handle each and every member request and every game, the cost of membership would have to be more expensive, probably prohibitive for many. A lot of people used to make trainers as a hobby, too, but it's much more difficult to manage and keep them updated properly these days.

In this case, it has nothing to do with the number of programmers or anything like that. It's just the way the game is coded and how the scripts go through the same functions. As far as I know there are no working hacks or trainers for this game by anyone. If there is, then so be it.

    best,

i never understand how a trainer can be retired before it even gets made, but whatever, to CE then i guess

Because I downloaded the DEMO a month ahead of the game release and was not able to work out anything even in the demo.

To be complete, I checked the final release and the game .exe was almost exactly the same.

It's too bad. Like in Heavy Rain, some of the game play requires you to press several keys at once within like a 2-3 second time frame, which makes it almost impossible to play without a controller. It would be nice with an option that could slow the game down or freeze it during those actions, like in the trainer for Heavy Rain. Basically that would be the only option needed.

But if it can't be done, it can't be done. 😔

Ah well, I'll have to skip this game then. I just played through the demo and I was not comfortably able to complete the QTEs (just like in their previous games which I never completed), came here to see if there was a trainer before I purchased it :/
