This trainer has been working perfectly fine as far as the functions, but occasionally it will just crash out of the blue -- drops to desktop, screen flashes a few times, gives a system error window (attached), and blacks out other app windows like firefox, discord, and steam completely until I close and relaunch them. Sometimes within 10 minutes of launching the game, sometimes after over an hour. Fresh Win10 install with all updates and requisite .net runtime and core packages installed.

Looks like a video hardware driver issue, update your video card drivers with a CLEAN install, meaning completely remove the old ones and put a fresh copy of the latest on. Usually found in the CUSTOM installs. Or use DDU

I always do DDU and install with NVCleanstall, but it could very well just be a driver bug. The trainer and its toggled options will continue to work in the background until I close the error box. Have a similar issue with American Truck Simulator, but that's the only other game I've used a trainer on recently with the last couple of drivers. Should be getting a 3080ti soon anyway (hopefully!)
edit: Seems like nvidia drivers 466.63 and 466.47 both cause this on my 1080Ti, as well as some other apps freezing and eventually everything but the mouse becoming unresponsive. Rolled back to 466.27 and everything seems to be working fine again.

That's totally understandable and I really appreciate the amount of Micro$oft games on here but your biggest competition released a Windows trainer for this game 2 days ago and it works flawlessly.
