I Read somewhere but unfortunately I don't remember when that if you buy the Steam version you then have to before you can play it log into Origin. The way I see it I might as well buy the Origin version then.

Is this something new Lenny, have you tried it?

Seems like when I played Mass Effect 1&2 I had to agree to a 3rd party EULA but that was about all.

All I can say is that its something new to me for EA. I remember when I read about this in the Steam forums someone compared it when you but a game like Far Cry 5 and you have to sign into Ubisofts software.

"Requires 3rd-Party Account: EA Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)
Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA
Command & Conquer™ Remastered Collection EULA"

Yes it will connect to Origin much like Far Cry games connect to Ubi software.

This is testing my memory but as I just read when you buy a Ubisoft game it requires Uplay to launch. On Steam it's seamless, if you don't already have Uplay you have to set up an account and after that it's mainly invisible and runs in the background.

Guess Origin is the same now as Eli said.

Doesn't seem to be a real downside - guess I'll buy from Steam for the simple reason that I open Steam 10x more per week than I open Origin.

10X is being kind for me. More like 100X here.

I like buying them on Steam whenever possible. We have the Steam Community which always has extra info for games like Tools, manuals, maps, mods and a good discussion forum for every game. I also prefer keeping Screenshots there where the bulk of them are anyway. Same goes for achievements.

Like them or not, we get more with our games there. ¯\_(ツ_/¯

Agreed not only that Steam is a great gaming platform it's also a pretty good social networking service much like Facebook and others with focus on gaming and gaming related topics.
