I would like to know if there is a way to unlock achievements with the trainer activated in the game pass version?
The method used to be like this:
Use the EAC-Disabled version with the trainer and reach the last checkpoint of the mission. Close the game & re-open with EAC-Enabled and just beat the end of it yourself for the achievements to pop.
Mid-mission achievements cannot be done like this though so you'd have to get them yourself.
It's much more worth buying it on Steam IMO since CheatHappens' custom launcher allows the trainer usage whilst unlocking achievements for your Xbox Live account.
if i buy it on steam i may be unlocking xbox live achievements but that only syncs or how?
Yeah you unlock Xbox Live Achievements as well as Steam achievements on the Steam version, since you need to log into your Xbox Live account when you go in-game with the Steam version too.
Just make sure you use the custom launcher that CheatHappens made for the Steam version and you're good to go

Does the checkpoint method still work?
I did it for Halo CE and Halo 2 - worked flawless.
I'm having trouble for Halo 3 though.
I'm on microsoft store / game pass pc version.
Someone can confirm that the achievements like play on legendary are working in the steam version using actual trainers ?
