Delete the trainer -> restart pc -> redownload trainer.
see if that works.
Also verify intergrity of your game on steam.
and make sure you have no mods.

The trainer works fine on my end, so something must be wrong on your end even if you believe it is not true. No one was blaming you, Chris was trying to help you out.
