i just tried it myself and it works fine on my end, are you following the option instructions to the letter? also make sure you are on the main branch and not on any beta.
What I am trying to say is that... every other part of the trainer is working fine. ONLY the two options I mentioned will not work for me. So, yes, I am following the instructions to the letter.
I only wanted to get some help from others that either have the same issue, and if it was resolved (and how) or IF they are also having it.
Like I said, everything else works in that section of the trainer, and requires the same steps to activate, so I am simply confused as to why I can't get influence to change (and gold, although I don't need that option, I just noticed that gold TOO is not being hooked into.)
Hopefully I can post this and someone will know the solution.
Are you running it with any mods that may affect these values for whatever reason?
The trainer works absolutely fine if I play vanilla. The only time I've had issues is when I ran it with mods that affected gameplay that the trainer would've also attempted to change. The only fix to that would be to disable the mod/ods in question.
Yes, I do run mods. But no, those mods do not affect influence in any way that I am aware of. I didn't really expect much help since I am not running the latest versions of the game or the trainer, I am running an earlier version. Another trainer I tried worked with gold, but had no influence option. I don't need the gold option at all, only mentioned it since the two are right next to each other.
I was just hoping someone else that had issues would chime in. I am probably on my own here. Since no one else that had this issue has brought it up, it isn't going to be any one's priority. And I am fine with that 100%. Was just looking for some ideas I guess? It makes no sense that the other options work flawlessly and those dont.
And, it is not possible to run my save game without those mods, it will corrupt my save. I'll just have to keep looking for another way to get my influence value back, or learn to use CosMos perhaps.
I'll figure something out... just not sure what. Maybe I can learn Cosmos, or Cheat Engine to find that value and edit it, and salvage my save.
Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it.
Well, it isn't a huge deal, I just suffered through it on this play-through. Just needed the influence option, I'm fine with gold. I appreciate the reply though, thank you.
If it is a mod (for anyone else that comes across this) I would assume it is one that changes rates of XP or skill gain maybe? All my other mods only edit Units, visuals or skills, and fix bugs in the base game. But since a lot of things are still bugged or not working, the mods I chose put things back to a playable state. Influence gain is not always working as it should, and I just needed the option so I could boost it a little here and there.
I can try a new, non-modded game and see if the option works, but since I am still on a 2 week old version, I am not sure it will matter. I think I'd have better luck using a memory editor.
On a side note, is there a way to "freeze" health, instead of filling it to full when activating the health option?
