Just a heads-up. The main Boss fight in the Moxxi DLC won't complete if you have Health and Shields activated. The fight will go on forever. It's the Boss in Jack's tower.
The options give both you and the Boss health and Shields. He's easy enough without them anyway. That fight is the only one I ran into like that so far. I ran into the same problem in the big boss fights in Rage-2.
If you do have a problem killing him you can use Super Damage or Rapid Fire to finish him off quickly.
