Ok, after using it a while, here is my personal feedback and CH will not like it:
- Design is way to light, it hurts my eyes.
- There is so many screenspace wasted. We are downloading Trainers for PCs(!) not for mobile devices! 16:9 or 16:10 is what most people use, sometimes even wider screens.
- Before relevant information was easy to see and to find in an informative manner. Now I don't get a slick list of what new/updated trainers got released and I don't stop by here to write in the forums, I've got things to do, like playing games!
- The Trainermanager is for this reasons now unsuable for me. Hurts my eyes, doesn't improve my "CH experience"
Sorry, I see you did hard work here and you surely meant the best, but I hate the new design.
- a dark theme is in the making, you can use a addon for now
- new/updated trainer list is still there on the homepage Link
The new design looks great, kudos to all those who did the hard work. The overall design and layout are easy to read, and I like that the Dashboard is now on top and taking less room even when extended.
That said, there are always things to improve on after the feedback from the public. I'm also one of those that much prefer a dark mode, and I am happy that you will be working one. But I can also be patient for it. It is a change that is more than just changing the background color number in the html code since a dark background will have an effect on the readability of everything else, e.g. the grey quoted texts and the black borders around the buttons.
There's one thing I miss in the requests page. In the old list you could change the sort order from a-z to number of credits needed. I don't play a lot of games and don't keep up with new games that are outside my genres of interest, so I often used that option to find popular games to add some credits to as a way of helping others out and to keep my balance from getting too big. Is that sorting option gone now, or am I just having trouble finding it?
We are looking into bringing the sort option back when we overhaul the requests feature.

First: My feedback was meant as exactly this. Feedback. Not to discourage somebody of the CH staff or to hurt someone. It was a simple an honest impression.
In fact I rewrote parts of the CSS with Stylem for now and I read about the dark theme being WIP, but I gave feedback about what I see now.
About the list: that's the point ... I have to click to get a list. It might have been a great idea to build a CMS where the user can choose his "dashboard". You might know the feature from software like Graylog or Kibana or something entirely different. This would have been much more work, I know.
By the way I like the new font. I mentioned this earlier in this thread. And I don't dislike the idea of modernizing the site in general.
On the other hand I don't understand some of the choices. The reaction about the light design was easy to see btw. I mean even MICROSOFT understood that there are more than 1 or 2 guys out there prefering darker color tones. And Youtube for instance and a bunch of others. Look at theme communities and which themes gets downloaded most ... yeah, dark ones. It's quite a demographic out there which likes darker themes. This is not about what's "better" it's simply about taste and it seems both camps (dark vs. light) are somehow evenly split in my impression.
The UI design in general is pretty F'ed at the moment globally with the bull**** "surface" UI MS and others dropped upon us. Those tiles, borderless UI elements, monotone colors. Instead of providing different approaches for mobile devices and classical devices we get one interface that's pretty bad. And the influence of this is seen everywhere and get copied everywhere ...

We will just let you build the next version of the site, or the Internet, since you seem to be the expert.
