I am having the same issue with several trainers including all the Need for Speed trainers and for Doom (2016). Far Cry 3 and 4 trainers work fine.

Event Viewer pushed me towards a flash issue but after installing the latest flash version, I still receive the same error. Everything related to windows defender has been turned off and the folder containing the trainer has been add to the exclusion list.

Tried editing my last post but was red flagged... Apparently this thread is not my issue tho the symptoms are the same.
I've conclude that certain trainers are broken and perhaps should be looked into instead of just being pointed to the .net core files as the answer.

On a fresh Windows 10 home install, with nothing else installed but Drivers, Windows Update, and NET core files.

Trainers I've tried after fresh install that crashed complaining about a fault in flash.ocx
Need For Speed Payback, NFS 2016, and Doom (2016).

    Ones I've confirmed working:
NFS Heat, NFS Rivals, Doom Eternal, Far Cry 2,3,4.

We can try a Team Viewer session if you want, that's really the last thing we can recommend. There is nothing wrong with those trainers as they all run fine for me.

I found that by uninstalling the Security Update for Adobe Flash Player: February 11, 2020 (4537759) fixed the issue of the trainer crashing and recording an application error in the Windows application event log.

It shouldn't matter which OS your on this patch is probably the cause of the crash, but for reference, I am running Windows 10 1909.
