Yes I'm definitely using the steam version

if you load the game without the trainer, does it work then? i have no issues on the Epic version.

Works fine when the trainer is not loaded

Start a new fresh game and try it with that and see if your stuff opens. If it does restart the game with no trainer and play it, do a few things then save and close it.
Delete all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens Temp

Then load it up again with the trainer and see if you screens are opening and working again.

Been having issues loading save files as the trainer seems to corrupt them. I'm using Epic Games version of Pine. Trainer I'm using is compatible with both Steam and Epic Games. Happened once, so I started a new game. Ran off a cliff and fell through the map, which killed me while having no damage, inf stamina, and double speed activated. Game froze at 1/4 loading screen. Closed the game as it was not responding. Save won't load if trainer isn't on, is on, or not open. Activating all trainer options, allows it to load, but stripped of everything. Completely wipes inventory.

Turn off all cloud saving, see if that stops it. Always try to use local saves. I would also make the trainer cleaner Link or get the Trainer Manager 2.0 as it is built in the setting menu.

I have tried both methods of manually cleaning, and using the manger 2.0 to do it for me, launching everything in admin and also not in admin.. The trainer corrupts saves, and makes them completely unplayable, unless activating all options and then you can play it naked, it does not only empty your inventory, but also deletes all your crafting recipes that you have learned.

PS. This was on the Epic vers of the game, with the correct trainer for said vers.

cant seem to download the latest trainer for pine? comes up with a 404 page error

Latest one in on Aurora. So use the Aurora button or open it manually there. Ill send a notice about the button being broken.
